"Fantastic Devotional!"

I spoke with Mr. Fisher and his son, and they are very genuine Christ followers, along with the coauthor Mr. Jared. The devotionals are fantastic for anyone, Christian or of any religion. Each page is set up with a historical even and how a bible verse relates to it. The work was very tedious to complete most likely, but the final product is amazing. I recommend this to all history buffs, Christian or not.

"General Lee Would Have Wanted A Copy!"

This volume contains many encouraging stories of faith, courage, and love of country - and for ones enemies - accompanied with Scripture for contemplation. The authors have done a splendid work presenting the good, the bad, and the ugly of our most bitter war while simultaneously offering examples of godly character out of the horrors of the conflict that we can emulate. I can't wait to read mine every day. Well done!

"Devotions For Warriors Inspiring Reading"

As a student of Civil War history, I am finding these daily devotions to be very accurate in their timeline of the Civil War. More importantly though, is the direct testament and demonstration of the Southern leaders to their faith in to quote a reference from the book, "Almighty God." Each day a vignette about a particular battle is given. This vignette tells the story of a soldier, be he a private or a general, and how he lived his faith on and off the battlefield. It includes a Bible verse and a closing prayer. Whether you know anything about the Civil War or not, I highly recommend this devotional book. It will educate you, inspire you, and speak to your open heart. It is my hope that the authors, Mike Fisher and Joe Jared, will follow this book with another, using vignettes about Northern soldiers. It would make a wonderful companion to Devotions for Warriors. Devotions for Warriors is suitable for all ages. Blessings.
